The temples of Khajuraho are among the major attractions of central India. Famed for their erotic sculpture, these temples were built under the reign of the Chandellar, who controlled a large area of the northern Deccan for a certain period of time. Many of the surviving 22 temples are still in a remarkable state. While the Khajuraho temples are an attraction for the history admirers, the central India also hol abundance of reserves and wildlife sanctuaries for the wildlife enthusiasts.
Kanha National Park and Bandhavgarh National Park in the east of Madhya Pradesh are the best national parks in India to explore the wildlife. While the journey to them can be a little long, it?s worth the effort. The best season to visit is February to May, when you can eye plenty of beautiful cheetal (spotted deer), blackbuck, sloth bear, gaur or bison (largest of the wild cattle), wild boar, barasingha (?12-pointer?) swamp deer, and also monkeys galore.
