Incredible India Cultural, Historical & Spiritual

Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer in Rajasthan houses more than its fair share of temples and years old Havelis. Nestling with the Thar Desert from all corners, Jaisalmer brings out the best of Rajasthan on the platter for you. The city boasts of prosperous heritage and an enthralling culture.? Visit here to fall in love with heroic tales of legendary rulers who once ruled here and left their marks. Jaisalmer also demonstrates grand palaces, sumptuously ornamented havelis and charming scenery of the desert.

Every holiday to Jaisalmer starts with a visit to the Jaisalmer Fort. This is the largest fort in the city and is counted among the very few “living forts” in the world. It has an 800-year history and features four massive gateways, Raj Mahal palace, Jain Temples, Laxminath temple, etc. The charismatic beauty of Patwon Ki Haveli is also worth appreciating. Its architecture showcases fine craftsmanship and its golden colour makes it stand out. The haveli sees a sea of visitors who fall in love with its rare artefacts apart from a large collection of paintings. The architecture of Salim Singh-ki Haveli also welcomes streams of architecture lovers. It belongs to the eighteenth century and has a beautiful looking roof in a peacock form. It is a great treat for photographers.

Kuldhara Abandoned Village, 18 km away from Jaisalmer, is even though in ruins today, it never fails to attract travellers. The village has no human settlement today and acts as a clan of eighty-five villages weaved together. Stories behind this village are still not clear and it remains under the shadows of uncertainty.

Fall in love with Khuri Sand Dunes to experience the wonders of Thar Desert. Enjoy camel rides, stay in camps amidst the desert sands and relish local dance performances by the locals. This is a great experience to be in the lap of unparalleled solitude with shimmering desert all around.
