Incredible India Cultural, Historical & Spiritual

Vrindavan

Vrindavan is the place where Lord Krishna spent his childhood days. Cladding the banks of Yamuna, Vrindavan remains one of the most peaceful and spiritual cities in India located in the state of Uttar Pradesh. People visit here to achieve some mental solace and find their spiritual self. Vrindavan has some of the most beautiful temples and ashrams dedicated to Lord Krishna where pilgrims flock from all parts of the country.

Banke Bihari Mandir remains the most visited temple of Vrindavan in the Mathura district. The temple has a typical Rajasthani- style structure with arched windows and delicate stonework. The temple remains brimming with pilgrims and oozes a spiritual vibe. In this temple, sewa of the Bihariji is performed thrice in the form of Shringar, Rajbhog and Shayan.

Prem Mandir is another spectacular temple of Vrindavan adorned with seamless elegance and grandeur. This is believed to be the temple of God's love as it is dedicated to Radha Krishna. Its white marble structure features intricate carvings which offer it an impressive architectural beauty. The temple also houses a cafeteria serving the tastiest vegetarian food. One fascinating feature of this temple is the musical fountain here which dances to the songs of the kirtans of Radha Krishna. ISKCON Temple of Vrindavan is also extremely fascinating. It was built in 1975 with the aim to spread awareness about the Vedic scriptures and the Bhagavad Gita. The temple houses seats of Sri Sri Gaura Nitai, Shri Krishna and Balaram and Sri Sri Radha Shyamasundara.

Another popular temple of the city is Nidhivan Temple which lures both pilgrims and nature lovers. The temple has a surreal natural beauty all around. Green branches entangle the temple all around which are believed to be gopis, the queens of Sri Krishna. One strange fact about this temple is that no human is allowed here after sunset as whosoever enters here after sunset goes blind.
